Pink Rose and Orchid – Wafer Paper Flowers 9:00am 2:00pm
In this 4 to 5 hours class you will learn how to work with 2 different wafer paper thicknesses. We will cut, assemble, wire and color the paper to create an over-sized rose and a moth orchid s. We will give color to the finished product with petal dust and color gels. If time allows we will make veined leaves for the rose, painted leaves and gumpaste buds for the orchid.

Originally from Mexico, Margarita is a self-taught cake and cookie decorator. She was a Fulbright scholarship recipient who graduated with an MBA in international business. Although she worked as a corporate accountant for many years, the sugar arts is her true passion. The stay-at-home mom began teaching decorating classes in 2014. Margarita’s cookies have been featured on the Cookie Connection website as well as in Cake Central magazine as the winner of Cake Central’s “Winter Gingerbread Birdhouse Challenge” and runner up for the “Autumn Quilting Challenge”. She also won 1st place in her category in the first Frosting Creators cake contest in 2013, 1st place in her category in first SAS in 2016 and 1st place in her category-professional level SAS in 2017.
